Hike in the area between Appleton and Gallagher roads, with views of Big Elk Creek. The trail will be easy-to-moderate with a couple of hills. Bring water and a snack.  NOTE: Hunting is permitted in this area at this time of year. We have never encountered hunters, but wear orange if you have any. We may have spare vests to lend.

WRITTEN DIRECTIONS:
From the DE/MD state line, take MD-273 west for 1.4 mi. At the traffic circle, take the 3rd exit onto Appleton Rd south & proceed 0.8 mi. The lot will be on your right.
