About the Wilmington Trail Club!
WTC is a non-profit organization of people living in & around the Wilmington, Delaware area, who enjoy participating in a variety of outdoor activities. The club has been in existence more than 80 years & includes over 600 current members; mostly from Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, & New Jersey.
The club schedules over 400 events each year, lasting from a few hours to several days. These events include hiking, backpacking, paddling, car & paddler’s camping, road cycling, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, & social gatherings. Most events are held in this quad state area. Some events extend to other states or Canada. Events have taken place at over 250 different locations.
Trip leaders are club members who voluntarily contribute their time, expertise, & effort. Event registration is not required, unless “booking” is indicated at the bottom of an event listing. If there are any associated costs (such as lodging, etc), that will be noted. We invite non-members to participate in two activities of their choice, at no cost before joining. Children 18 years or younger must be accompanied by an adult. Pets are only permitted with prior approval of the event leader & must remain on leash and at the rear of the group. Release forms must be signed just before each event & participation is at your own risk.
