The Kayak Touring group paddles from the open waters of the northern Chesapeake Bay to the slow moving rivers of the New Jersey Pine Barrens. We run more than 60 trips during the paddling season which goes from April through October. A big event of the paddling year is the annual kayak training courses run by our American Canoe Association Certified Kayak Instructors. Our trips cover many levels of difficulty, from beginner and moving water trips to longer, more challenging paddles on the Chesapeake Bay. We even have a few paddles where you can watch the full moon rise while paddling on a warm summer night. We participate in longer multi-day trips such as the Schuylkill and Delaware River Sojourns and the Adirondack Mountain Club Summer Outing in the Saranac Lake, NY area.
