Join us for an adventure, which will include checking out what’s happening in an eagle nest north of Fair Hill. Big Elk Creek views, a few steep hills and mud guaranteed. Eagle sightings not guaranteed but we could get lucky. Bring lunch, bug spray and water.

WRITTEN DIRECTIONS:
From the DE/MD state line, take MD-273 west for 1.4 mi. At the traffic circle, take the 1st exit onto Appleton Rd north and proceed 1.2 mi. Turn left onto Black Bridge Rd & continue across the Appleton North parking lot. Proceed 1.1 mi. to the tee in the road. (The lot closest to the covered bridge has only 10 spaces, with 4 assigned for handicapped.) Pass this lot and turn right at the tee. Turn away from the covered bridge and continue about 0.1 mile up Tawes Road. The parking lot is on your right, across from the Nature Center. The section nearest the Nature Center is reserved for Nature Center users. Please park in the furthest back lot.
