This is a 4-5 mile level hike through wooded and open areas on an asphalt-paved trail in Chester County.
DRIVINGDIRECTIONS FROM CARPOOLING LOCATION: Take Rt. 202 north from the parking lot in front of Harvest Seasonal Grille and Wine Bar at 549 Wilmington Pike (Rt. 202 north), Glen Mills, PA, leaving about 9:00 a.m. This is the same parking lot for Whole Foods, in the Glen Eagle Square Shopping Center. Continue on US Rt. 202 north taking the bypass around West Chester (US 202N/US 322W ramp to Paoli/Downingtown.) After about 10 miles, take exit PA-29N/Great Valley, then continue on to Foundry Way and you’ll see a Wegman’s Store and parking lot to your right. We’ll meet inside the front of the store at 9:45 a.m. to allow restroom access and circle up for the hike. Lunch can be at Wegman’s after the hike.
