ModeratorAll of you have seen the Forum post about Gary Kirk in the News Journal. Gary deserves much more recognition that a cursory ‘click on this link’.
https://www.newarkpostonline.com/news/gary-kirk-trailblazer-and-bridge-builder/article_97b662cb-3383-5c15-b14a-af10eefc19a0.htmlWe have a few super volunteers in WTC, and Gary is one of them. I recently sent a post about Gary’s recognition for trail work on the Mason-Dixon trail.
Gary was WTC President for 3 years. It seems whenever I call for help or advice, Gary is on the trails inspecting or repairing. He has been instrumental in many of the major bridge replacements in the local area. He is also one of the qualified sawyers in the club. This summer the club was scheduled to join the Covid cancelled
Newark Community days at the University of Delaware. The entry fee was waived because of the volunteer work Gary does for Newark. This is by no means the entirety of Gary’s volunteer work, but gives some idea of his dedication to the trails.
When you see Gary, please thank him for all his great volunteer services. He does not do the work for recognition but deserves it none-the-less.
Thank you, Gary!!
Happy Thanksgiving.
