DRIVING DIRECTIONS:
From the intersection of US-13 & DE-72. Travel south on DE-72 for 1.5 mi. Continue strait onto DE-9 & proceed 2.4 mi. Cross the small C&D Branch Canal bridge, but not the Reedy Point Bridge! Turn left at the Fort DuPont sign. Continue on New Castle Av for 0.3 mi.  Road name changes to Wingate Rd, proceed 0.1 mi.  This road will curve left. Turn right into the first large parking lot and process away from Wingate Rd to the far end of the lot.

This property was previously known as the grounds of the “Gov Bacon Health Center”.  It is next to Fort DuPont State Park.  The street names are new and may differ from what shows on your map. This area was recently purchased by the “Fort DuPont Redevelopment & Preservation Corporation”.  There are many historical remnants here.
