From Hockessin, take Route 41 North about 2.4 miles. Turn Right on Sharp Road. At about 1.5 miles Sharp Road does a dog-leg (left then right) on Bucktoe Road. Another 0.3 miles on Sharp Road, parking is on the right.
Bucktoe Creek Preserve is a 297-acre privately-owned natural area located near Kennett Square, in Chester County, Pennsylvania. The preserve is not open to the public but can be accessed through educational programming hosted on the preserve by one of the Preserve partners, including Delaware Nature Society. Bucktoe Creek Preserve is Delaware Nature Society’s official camping area complete with Adirondack-style lean-to shelters and miles of hiking trails through forests, meadows, and ponds along the Red Clay and Bucktoe Creeks. The preserve is an excellent birding location with an annual Hawk Watch, bird walks, Motus tower, and other birding opportunities.
There is not a sign at the entrance, and looks like it is a private driveway with the #432. There is a small sign that says only ‘BCP’ for Bucktoe Creek Preserve at the entrance road
Keep following the unpaved road all the way to a grassy parking area with parking blocks. Parking begins immediately after the bend in the road’. A small shed is easily seen from the parking lot. People should not proceed beyond the parking near that shed without specific authorization.
