Elk Neck State Forest – from Park Office Lot
5 Mile Thursday, 10/15 10 AM

This hike will be in an usually secluded nearby forest. Enjoy the native pine trees, sweet gum trees, mountain laurel, azaleas, ferns, grasses, and mushrooms. Expect some wet ground areas. There will be a few short hills, but mostly flat. Some surfaces have been worn by erosion. About 40% trail and 60% dirt roads. No paved roads even crossed. Most of the hike will follow a section of the 199 mile Mason Dixon Trail.
Following the WTC Covid-19 guidelines this event is limited to 10 participants, including the leader. To register, please email the leader after 1:00 AM on 10/9/2020. Other respondents beyond the first 9 will be wait-listed. Please provide the leader with your phone number for immediate notification if there are any cancellations. Please read the new hiking liability release form in advance. Bring your mask, sanitizer, water, any snack and your own pen for the sign-in process.
