ParticipantRolling In Current Sunday 9/15.
Intermediate WW Kayak Class – Rolling in Current Sunday September 15th – Scudder’s, conditions permitting.
Rolling on a river can be harder than in a pool for various reasons, but it can sometimes be easier. We will look at rolling in a way that uses the current to our advantage.
This intermediate class is for:
–Kayakers who have a reliable roll in the pool.
–Kayakers who would like to improve their river roll, or learn to use current for rolling.
–Kayakers who want to build confidence so they’ll surf more.
–Kayakers who are interested in developing their roll in both directions. A second side roll will add to the experience but is not a requirement.
–Participants must be members of the WTC, and we’ll be signing various waivers.
The venue will have good eddy service and easy assisted recovery. We plan to have enough support so that no one will need to pull the cord! Required gear will be weather dependent. Most likely you will need a dry top.
Class size will be determined by the number of assistants. Please sign up to help! This class will be held in the gentler water below the Scudders wave, not in the wave itself. It there’s interest we can surf the wave too.
Fee: $20. Sign up now by email; payment info coming soon. Contact me – – if you’re interested or want to help. - 09/07/2019 at 9:57am #15174

ParticipantUPDATE: Water level are uncertain, and currently we don’t have enough people to hold this class. I’m reducing the tuition to $0. So we can all be participants and helpers can practice and learn, along with people who don’t do rescues. So if you want to come, please email me at dcsibleyatcomcast.net.
