Marjorie passed away last month after living fully for 89 years. She was a member of WTC for 36 years, beginning in 1982, and developed into a very strong hiker:
o Completed the 36-mile End-to-End in 1985, 1988, and 1991, and was the fastest woman in ’85 & ’88.
o Made the top 10 hikers in miles hiked 11 times in the 90’s and early 2000’s; included were 4 years in a row when she hiked over 1000 miles.
In addition, she gave back by serving as Midweek Chair in 2000 and 2001 and Short-on-Saturday Chair from 2004-2006. Beyond her hiking activities, she had a long career as a nurse, was an avid traveler, and an award-winning quilter.
Her many hiking friends treasured her company and her obvious fondness for hiking.
