WCCSP is having an Autumn Olive Blitz this Saturday November 26, from 1 to 3:

An invasive shrub is spreading! Help take it out and make space for our beautiful native plants. Invasive Autumn Olive retains its leaves long after our native shrubs, making it easier to identify.  But, we’ve got to tackle it before it loses its leaves too!  Keep this invader from spreading in our park!  You’ll learn how to identify it and why it’s so harmful to the health of our forests.  Please come lend a hand!

Wear close-toed shoes, long pants, and clothes that can get dirty.  Please bring your own work gloves and water.

All skill levels are welcome and all tools will be provided.

*Rain or snow in the forecast cancels the event.

Stay tuned: similar project planned for WCCSP on  Dec 3.
