WTC is back in business with all our events operating. The only Covid restriction remaining is ‘shuttles require masks for participation’. Please visit the calendar and attend the event of your choice.
Save The Dates
The Annual Picnic at Lums Pond is scheduled for October 10th. We will include an abbreviated Annual Meeting. Please plan to attend this “Grand Opening’ and see the members you have missed this last year. Aram Terzian, our VP, is heading this endeavor. If you would like to help him plan, please email Aram. The Hike Across Delaware (HAD) is scheduled for November 6th. Stay tuned for more information and the registration details.
Member Recruitment
The Council approved an incentive for members to recruit new members. Any member who recruits at least 3 new members in a calendar year will receive a free annual membership. To get credit, please ask your newly recruited member to check the “Word of Mouth” and “Other” boxes on the Registration form. Then when they add your name in the “Other” space you will receive credit for the new member. Happy recruiting.Music in the Park
On Wednesday, July 14th, White Clay Creek State Park restarted their Wednesday Concert series at the Carpenter Recreation Area. Festivities begin at 6:30pm, and as an extra benefit the Friends of White Clay Creek will be selling food and beer. Join the festivities.Thank You
Your efforts helped secure $300,000 funding for the White Clay Creek State Park Nature Center. Also, your direct donations helped fund the replacement bridge on the Penn-Del Trail. We all look forward to the new bridge.Covid
The local pandemic is under control at this time and our restrictions are minimal. The Delta variant of the virus is impacting other areas in the country, so please do not let your guard down. Be Safe!Webmaster’s Corner
The website provides club event information across all club interests. A key feature involves “Locations”. There are currently 329 location records. This enables Event Leaders to choose from these records to provide uniform and complete directions to our usual meeting places. In addition to the customary info, there is a very handy link to “Google Mapping” (from your current location)!See you on the trails, water, and roads!
