ParticipantHi everybody,
This Friday July 3 or 4th (depending on the weather) some friends and I are doing a long fund-raising ride for racial justice, in memory of George Floyd, to benefit Delaware Legal Aid Society. I’m the ride organizer. It’s a road ride (though half of it will be on the Jack Markell and Mike Castle bike trails). It will take all day. (I rode the route today – hot but not too much traffic.)
In memory of George Floyd, we’ll ride exactly 84.6 miles, and then … stop.
Here’s our fund-raising page. Please support us!
https://delawareccj.salsalabs.org/floydmemorialrideIf you’d like to ride with us, here’s the planned route, starting and ending around Branmar Plaza in north Wilmington:
https://ridewithgps.com/routes/33142037The ride will be “unsupported” – no oases, no SAG wagon, etc. It’ll be just some friends who want to ride for a good cause.
We’d love to have experienced riders come with us; and of course we’d love to have donations to support us! PLEASE CONTACT ME directly (below) with any questions.
Thanks so much, and thanks for the wonderful work with WTC.
