Deer Hunting begins in the White Clay Creek Preserve on September 18,2021. A complied list of the 2021 – 2022 Deer Hunting Seasons, for our most used parks and trails, has been posted on the Wilmington Trail Club under OVERALL, DOCUMENTS, INFO. Also, on our OVERALL, EVENTS Calendar we have marked the dates when trails for these same parks and trails are closed for shot gun/firearms hunting. Please seek out more hunting information if you use other trails.
During archery hunting season almost all trails are open, but for your safety it is highly recommended, and on PA Games Lands it is required, that you wear florescent orange. In the Pennsylvania White Clay Creek Preserve does not close trails for any hunting. We highly recommend you treat the Preserve’s Big Elk Section trails closed when firearms/shotgun season occurs.

Gary, thank you for posting information about hunting, with referral to the list of different parks. According to that list, White Clay Creek State Park will not have its firearms season until November 6th. Can you please tell me why you notified us that it would begin on September 18th? I’m just wondering if there’s a separate post somewhere about deer hunting season beginning earlier than what the mail bulletin has listed. Thank you. Linda Dion

Please reread the the first sentence. It says White Clay Creek Preserve (PA) begins 9/18. This is archery as the full list reports.
