We spoke last week with the Delaware Department of Natural Resources (DNREC), to learn more about the condition of the bridge after the flooding of the Brandywine Creek in September.
Close inspection of the Bancroft Pedestrian Bridge has determined that the structural damage is significant, and will cause the bridge to remain closed for a significant amount of time.
