The Picnic will take place this Sunday October 10th “rain or shine”!!!
The weather is warm for this time of year and the Pavilion has a roof. We probably will see some moisture but the brunt of the storm is forecasted to be south and east of Lum’s Pond.
The actual picnic will begin at 12:00 – noon however there are several morning events posted on the respective Hiking/Paddling/Cycling calendar. Check with the event leaders for updates.
There will be a raffle with some very good prizes. There is no cost to participate in the raffle and all WTC members will be given 10 tickets
when they check in! You can place all your tickets on one prize or spread them out a bit.
Their will be a special sustainability raffle prize for those who bring their own washable plate, eating utensils and cup (think camping gear!). We will have disposable items for those who forget but they will not get a special raffle ticket.
There is more than one entrance to Lum’s Pond Sate Park. Pavilion #1 is located quite close to the “Go-Ape” zip line center. Plug this into your GPS and you will see our pavilion from the parking lot. Joan or I will be at the Pavilion from 8:15 am on in case you have something to drop off for the raffle or the picnic.
