9:30 am       Cyclists meet for a 30-mile ride (see October Bulletin for more details)

9:30 am       Hike around the pond (see October Bulletin for further details).

10:00 am    Kayakers meet and launch (see October Bulletin for further details).

10:30 am    Short hike (see October Bulletin for further details).

12:30 pm    Time to eat!!!

Club will supply hamburgers, hot dogs, fixins, soda/water. Please bring dish to share (salads, snacks, main dishes, desserts).

RSVP to Joan March – ; or (302) 981-7255 to register for the picnic so that we’ll know how many burgers etc. to buy.

Lums Pond charges a $4 in-state, and $8 out-of-state daily admission fee without a DE State Park Pass.

We would like to have a raffle again and we need to get some fun donations from local businesses. If you frequent a sporting goods store, bike shop, nursery, restaurant or other service provider please ask them if they will donate gear or a service for our raffle.  Additionally, we can add any items members may no longer have need of that are in good condition. We are looking for some good fun prizes!!!  If you have something for the raffle please e-mail Aram Terzian at .

Sustainability Initiative:  We will have a special raffle prize for those who choose to bring their own washable plate and eating utensils.  You will get a special raffle ticket if you remember.  There will be plastic and paper picnic supplies in case you forget.

From the intersection of DE-896 and US-40. Proceed south on DE-896 for 2.6 mi. Turn left onto Howell School Rd and travel 0.4 mi. Turn right into the park. ]The lot areas are numbered in reverse, because the entrance was moved from one end to the other. Follow the winding park road, all of the way until there is no more pavement near the old bathing beach.
