DESCRIPTION: (Wear appropriate clothing & bring water! Below are some special instructions: what to bring, relative difficulties, interesting features, & carpooling directions.)
This is a 4-5 mile, multi-loop hike, including woods, fields, and garden paths. Wear boots or hiking shoes for rough woodland terrain; bring water. Enter the Winterthur site no earlier than 9:45 AM. This should allow enough time to meet up at the far end of the parking lot by the Picnic Pavilion with the leader prior to 10:00 AM. With receipt of acceptance to the hike, the leader will email you a pass/ticket. Please print this ticket and set on your dashboard so the public safety officer has easy view of it. Hike members will just need to be sure and stop at the entry guard shack so the officer can verify. There is no fee for this hike.
The first 9 members to RSVP the leader Pam Weiss via email () commencing 6 days prior to the hike will be notified by the leader of their acceptance to join the hike. Other respondents beyond the first 9 will be wait-listed and notified if there has been a cancellation. Please provide the leader with your phone number for notification in case of cancellations.
Do not show up for this hike without preregistering. This hike will follow the WTC Covid-19 guidelines. WTC has a new liability release form that is available on this website. Please read it. Please bring your mask, sanitizer, water, any snack and your own pen for the sign-in process.
