A 5-mile, multi-loop hike, including woods, fields, and garden paths. Wear boots or hiking shoes for rough woodland terrain; bring water and a snack. Restrooms are available at several locations. Meet leader prior to 10 AM starting time at far end of Visitors’ Parking lot at Winterthur (adjacent to Picnic House, where there are restrooms). Driving Directions: Enter grounds at main gate at traffic light at Rt. 52 and Old Kennett Road; follow signs to visitors’ parking lot (do not park in the bus stalls). Please note this is a specially arranged hike.

WRITTEN DIRECTIONS:
From the intersection of DE-141 (Centre Rd) & DE-52 (Kennett Pike), proceed north on DE-52 for 2.4 mi. At the traffic light on DE-52 and Old Kennett Rd, turn right into the main gate of Winterthur, Follow the signs to the visitors' parking lot . Do not park in the bus stalls. Meet at far end of Visitors' Parking Lot, adjacent to the "Picnic House".
LOCATION NOTES:
Fees are charged year round here, but the club sometimes arranges special hikes with passes.
