Depart at 9:00 a.m. sharp. The hike will be 8-10 miles with some hills. Bring snacks, lunch, and water. There is a restroom at the parking lot. A parking fee or Delaware pass is required.
DRIVING DIRECTIONS: From DE Rt 2 Kirkwood Highway, turn on Possum Park Rd/Route 72. Follow for about 2 mi to the traffic light at the Shell station and turn right onto Paper Mill Rd. Go about 2 mi and turn left on Smith Mill Rd at the sign at the top of the hill. Proceed to the end of the dirt road. Pass the “Flying Field” and the parking lot is on your left.

From the intersection of DE-2 (Kirkwood Highway) & DE-7 (Limestone Rd), head northwest on DE-7 N/Limestone Rd for 3.2 mi. Use the left 2 lanes to turn left onto DE-72 S/Paper Mill Rd for 2.3 mi. Turn right onto Smiths Mill Rd (Fairhill School Dr). The parking lot is on the left.
