Westover Hills, Wilmington DE

Enjoy the Spring flowers and architecture in the beautiful neighborhood of Westover Hills in northwest Wilmington. This 4 mile hike will begin at 10 am. Park your car just off Edgehill Road after turning from DuPont Road. We will be walking on sidewalks. After the hike you are welcome to have lunch at the nearby Greenhill Pub at the Ed “Porky” Oliver Golf Club (800 N. DuPont Rd).

DRIVING DIRECTIONS:  From North, take RT. 52 south toward Wilmington. You’ll cross over Rt. 141, and a bit further, pass through the stop-lighted intersection with Montchanin Rd. (Rte. 100). Proceed through the blinking light intersection to turn right at the next light onto DuPont Rd. Follow DuPont through one 4-way stop-signed intersection and at a second 4-way stop, turn right onto Edgehill Road. Continue down the hill turning at the first left onto Hopeton Road to park on the right side. We will “circle-up” in the greenway area by the street. From South, take RT. 52 north heading towards Greenville. You’ll pass Tower Hill School on your right, followed by Alexis I. DuPont Middle School on the same side ½ mile further north. Turn left at the light at DuPont Rd.  Then follow the above directions.
