vEnjoy this walk through American history on the inner loop of the Joseph Plum Martin Trail at Valley Forge National Park. This is a mostly paved hike over hilly terrain with one steep lengthy hill, so trekking poles are advised. Passing through several historic sites in the park, we will try to keep up a brisk pace. Restrooms are mid-way through the hike and the hike will be held in rain, shine or wind. Meet-up is next to the temporary Visitors Center (restroom available) near the parking lot.
Driving Directions: From Delaware take US-202 N to King of Prussia. Take the PA-23 W exit from US-422 W. Follow PA-23/W Valley Forge Road. The main entrance to the park and Visitor Center is at the intersection of State route 23 and North Gulph Road. Address is 1400 North Outer Line Drive, King of Prussia, PA 19406.
Car Pooling: Arrive prior to 8:45 AM for car pooling leaving at that time from the Glen Eagle Square parking lot (Whole Foods) on Rt 202 N, in front of the Harvest Grille Restaurant.
