Please meet at the water fountain in Josephine Gardens. We will hike in Brandywine and Alapocas Run parks and see some lesser-known city attractions – mainly the Sugar Bowl concert pavilion. Hike is on pavement so comfortable walking shoes or sneakers are okay. There will be a few short steep hills and a long-ish set of steps. Please note earlier start time!

From the intersection of DE-141 (Centre Rd) & DE-52 (Kennett Pike). Take DE-52 (Kennett Pike) south for 2.2 mi. Turn left onto N Franklin St & proceed 0.3 mi. Turn right onto Lovering Ave & proceed 0.1 mi. Turn left onto N Van Buren St (street sign is missing) & proceed 0.2 mi. Drive over the bridge. Turn right onto N Park Dr & proceed 0.2 mi. The parking lot will be on the right.

Wilmington State Parks are home to “Brandywine Park”, the Brandywine Zoo, Baynard Stadium, Josephine Fountain & Jasper Crane Rose Garden.
The Brandywine Zoo parking is 0.2 mile south of North Van Buren Street on North Park Drive.
