Sambo’s

Leader: Suzanne Souder. (C: 302/379-3874; E: ).  Meet at Sambo’s parking lot in Leipsic to be ready to leave at 10:00 a.m. for a 15 to 20 mile relatively flat ride at 10 to 12 MPH.  Lunch option at Sambo’s after ride.  Sambo’s is known for its crabs and other seafoods.  Bring cash if you plan to eat there because Sambo’s does not take credit/debit cards.  DRIVING DIRECTIONS:  Take Rt. 1 (toll) or Rt. 13 south to Smyrna.  If on Rt. 1 take Exit 114 to Rt. 13.  From Rt. 13 turn left onto Smyrna-Leipsic Road.  After a few miles it will curve to the right and join Rt. 9 south.  Follow Rt. 9 to Leipsic and take the first left onto Front Street after crossing the bridge over the Leipsic River.  Sambo’s is a few blocks down on your left.  The parking lot is across the street.  Park in the far back section of the parking lot near the dumpsters.

From the intersection of US-13 & DE-273 (at Hares Corner). Continue on US-13 south for 6.5 mi. You can continue straight on toll road, DE-1 south for 23.7 mi. Take exit 114, on the right, heading toward Smyrna. Turn left to return to US-13 (Dupont Blvd) south for 4.2 mi. Turn left onto DE-42 & proceed 3.7 mi. Turn left onto Front St & proceed 0.3 mi. The parking lot is on the left.
