Carpenter Parking Lot)Leader: Jim March (C: 302-607-1409 ; E: ). Meet at 10 AM in the White Clay Creek State Park–Carpenter Parking Lot. for a 5-6 mile in WCCP at an easy to moderate pace. Bring snacks and water for the hike. Finish time about 12:15-12:30.
Bring a lunch for after the hike if you want to stay for the eclipse from about 1-3:30. It was printed in the Wilmington News Journal that the first 200 people will receive viewing glasses. You can also make and bring a viewing box. It is a thin wall box ( shoe, cereal, etc.) with a pin hole in one end. The opposite end project the light of the eclipse on the other.
Directions–Coming out of Newark on DE Rt 896 N heading toward PA, go approximately 2 mi and the parking lot will be on your right. Parking fee in effect
