Possum Hill, WCCSP

Hike will mostly  be on trails with some hills, rocks and roots.  We will visit the Mason & Dixon Marker “Post Mark’d West” to add a bit of local history to our walk. Hiking poles and boots are advised. Bring water and bug spray.

From the intersection of DE-2 (Kirkwood Highway) & DE-7 (Limestone Rd), head northwest on DE-7 N/Limestone Rd for 3.2 mi. Use the left 2 lanes to turn left onto DE-72 S/Paper Mill Rd for 2.3 mi. Turn right onto Smiths Mill Rd (Fairhill School Dr). The parking lot is on the left.

There is no assigned street address for this location, so use the GPS coordinates if possible!  Access to this lot is on the west side of DE-72, exactly 1 mile south of the CVS, which is at the corner of DE-72 and Polly Drummond Hill Rd/Corner Ketch Rd.  There is a street sign for Smith Mill Rd on the other side of DE-72.  The Whitley Farms trailhead is here.  This area also includes the “remote control air-flying field”.
