WTC WTC Volunteer Opportunities (Special) -- for 7 miles on 11/23/2019 @ 7:30am - 7:00pm -- This will be an off-trail, semi-bushwhack hike along about five miles of the Boundary of the WTC-maintained section of the AT. Much of the terrain is on steep and rocky hillsides, so sturdy footwear (boots) is highly recommended. Anyone not known to the leader needs to contact him for screening. People and gear have failed in this terrain and I’d like to not repeat this. All supplies furnished although most people like to bring their own gloves and pruners. We will trim brush, locate and repaint some blazes. We will be joined by the ATC Boundary Regional coordinator and his technicians, who will do onsite tutorials. Meet at 7:30 a.m., carpool to Fox Gap, about 110 miles each way. If driving directly to site, please inform leader. Bring lots of water, lunch, snacks, and enthusiasm. After hike snack/dinner stop in Delaware Water Gap at the Village Bakery is very like...

Some hills and two small rock water crossings. Bring water and lunch to eat “on a beach” of the creek.
