Come enjoy a 3.25 mile hike on the north side of the C&D Canal along the Canal and through the residential area of North Chesapeake. Meet by 6:30 p.m. at the parking lot near Schaefer’s Restaurant. Park in the parking area to the right of Schaefer’s Restaurant (as you face it) or under the bridge. Dinner will be at Schaefer’s Restaurant.
Driving Directions: From Elkton, take MD 213 South towards the C&D canal and Chesapeake City. Turn left just BEFORE THE C&D Canal Bridge onto Bank Street, the road into N. Chesapeake City. Follow the road into the town and turn right into parking area. Alternate Directions from DE 896 South is to follow signs to the Veteran’s Cemetery and continue onto N. Chesapeake City.
