Happy New Year!  Time to put your 2020 hindsight in the rearview mirror.   A new year, a new start.

We will arrive at Jasper Crane Rose Garden and then visit the Brandywine Zoo, which is usually open and free on New Years’ Day.

This hike is limited to 10 hikers including the leader, so 9 hikers may sign up starting Saturday, December 26 to the leader via e-mail in order to attend.  You must bring a face mask and adhere  to social distancing rules.

Hand sanitizer is recommended.  Bring your own pen to sign in.  If you RSVP and secure a spot on the hike, and find you cannot attend, please e-mail the leader ASAP so that another hiker can fill your spot.  Thank you.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS:
From the intersection of DE-141 (Centre Rd) & DE-52 (Kennett Pike). Take DE-52 (Kennett Pike) south for 2.2 mi. Turn left onto N Franklin St & proceed 0.3 mi. Turn right onto Lovering Ave & proceed 0.1 mi. Turn left onto N Van Buren St (street sign is missing) & proceed 0.2 mi. Drive over the bridge. Turn left onto N Park Dr & proceed 0.1 mi. The parking lot will be on the left under a I-95 bridge.


LOCATION NOTES:

Wilmington State Parks are home to “Brandywine Park”, the Brandywine Zoo, Baynard Stadium, Josephine Fountain & Jasper Crane Rose Garden.

The Jasper Crane Rose Garden is North of North Van Buren Street. Parking under I-95  is 0.1 mile north of North Van Buren Street

on North Park Drive.
