Meet at 9:45 a.m. for a 10:00 start on this 4-mile, mostly flat, moderate hike that will include wooded trails with tree roots, so poles are advisable. Trail may be muddy depending on weather. Bring water. A Delaware park pass or fee is required ($4 in-state; $8 for out-of-state).

WRITTEN DIRECTIONS:
From the intersection of DE-896 and US-40. Proceed south on DE-896 for 2.6 mi. Turn left onto Howell School Rd and travel 0.4 mi. Turn right into the park. ]The lot areas are numbered in reverse, because the entrance was moved from one end to the other. Follow the winding park road, all of the way until there is no more pavement near the old bathing beach.
