Meet at Pavilion #1, furthest from the Park entrance at 9:00 a.m. for an 8-mile hike around the pond. Although flat trail, expect rocks, tree stumps and uneven unpaved ground. Estimated pace at least 2.5 mph. Park fee in effect. Note: thunderstorm will cancel hike. Call leader if weather is questionable.

WRITTEN DIRECTIONS:
From the intersection of DE-896 and US-40. Proceed south on DE-896 for 2.6 mi. Turn left onto Howell School Rd and travel 0.4 mi. Turn right into the park. ]The lot areas are numbered in reverse, because the entrance was moved from one end to the other. Follow the winding park road, all of the way until there is no more pavement near the old bathing beach.
