Lums Pond – Picnic Paddle

This paddle will be at the WTC club picnic. It will be a relatively short paddle (2 or 3 Miles) to be back in time for the opening festivities at 12:00.

The picnic is at Area 2 which does not have a place to launch kayaks. We will paddle from Area 1 as in past years, then load the kayaks for a short drive to Area 2.

Be sure to register for the picnic on the website so they will have a count for burgers and hot dogs needed.

There is no shuttle.

From the intersection of DE-896 and US-40. Proceed south on DE-896 for 2.6 mi. Turn left onto Howell School Rd and travel 0.4 mi. Turn right into the park. ]The lot areas are numbered in reverse, because the entrance was moved from one end to the other. Follow the winding park road, all of the way until there is no more pavement near the old bathing beach.
