Hiking, Paddling and Biking in Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania

May 21-24 (Mon – Thur) Susquehannock Lodge, North-Central PA. Leaders: Jim and Joan March (302/368-0441; E: ). We’re planning three days of outdoor activities including an 8-10 mile hike on the West Rim Trail on Tuesday (with shorter options), canoe on Pine Creek on Wednesday, and either do a short hike or cycle on the rail trail on Thursday morning. Canoe and bike rentals are available from Pine Creek Outfitters and we will make the arrangements. Alternatively you can bring your own canoe or bike and use Pine Creek’s shuttle service. Comfortable accommodations with breakfast and dinner included are provided by the Susquehannock Lodge (Rates Semi Private $60 pppn, Private (en-suite) $65 pppn or $85 single occupancy, all plus tax. Packed lunches are available at additional charge. There are 5 private rooms and 5 semi private rooms in the Lodge. Additional private rooms are available in an adjacent building if required. From Galeton continue west on US 6. about 9.8 miles. When you pass PA 449 on the right continue another 2 miles. Look for a blue sign for "Dry Run". Lodge is immediately on the left past Dry Run.
