Event
WHEN:
DATE: 10/01/2022-10/02/2022
TIME: All Day (Prompt start, estimated end.)
MILEAGE: 21-24 miles
DESCRIPTION: (Wear appropriate clothing & bring water! Below are some special instructions: what to bring, relative difficulties, interesting features, and carpooling directions.)

Last year, we had planned to complete the southern section of Harriman, we instead opted for a shorter route through the park on day 2, so we still have the original loop to do. It has a lunch stop to die for. We can combine that with a hike through Sterling Forest State Park. The parks are in the Palisades region of New York. Mileages are ~11 miles on Saturday and ~12 on Sunday. Elevation changes are moderate throughout the backpacker. We’ll be using the Sterling Ridge Trailhead at 797 Minturn Bridge Rd. (NY 17A), Monroe NY 10950; 41.230565, -74.260811. Contact Paul for details and to sign up.
