Leader:  Carole Ann Glazar  (H:  302-322-5958)  C:  302-668-5559; E: )  Leave from Gordon’s Pond parking lot at 10 am for an 18-20 mile ride, mostly flat, very scenic, with plenty of water fowl to observe.  Park pass is in effect. NOTE:  if you want to ride on the boardwalk first, meet at 9 am in the Gordon’s Pond Parking Lot.  Bring water, snack, and money for lunch if you plan on joining us afterwards.   Bring a lock for your bike.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS:  Route 1 south until you get to the split for Rehoboth Beach and Ocean City.  Get in the left lane to go into Rehoboth Avenue/ DE 1A/DE-1Alt.  Go straight on Rehoboth Avenue, over the canal bridge, and at the roundabout take the 3rd exit onto Grove Street.  Go straight to the stop sign.  Turn right onto Henlopen Avenue and stay on Henlopen Avenue until the last 4-way stop before going down hill.  Go straight through 4-way stop onto Ocean Drive.  Road will take a sharp left turn.  Stay on Ocean Drive and go into Gordon’s Pond (Cape Henlopen State Park).  Proceed all the way back and park between pavilion on left and double porta potty on right.  GPS Coordinates:  38.742004,-75.081997

WRITTEN DIRECTIONS:
From the intersection of DE-1 & US-113 in Milford, DE. Continue on DE-1 South for 24.53 mi. Turn slight left onto DE-1A (toward Rehoboth) & proceed 0.8 mi. At the traffic circle, take the 3rd exit onto Columbia Av & proceed 1.0 mi. Turn left onto Surf Av and proceed 280 ft. Turn right onto Henlopen Av / Duneway / Ocean Dr (multiple name changes) & proceed 1.0 mi to the state park entrance booth. Continue 0.9 mi  to just before the pavilion circle, turn right into the northeast section of the huge parking area.
