Get your first look at the newly opened bike/hike trail to New Castle

Hike from the Jasper Crane Rose Garden to the DuPont Educational Center on the Wilmington Riverfront. You will be able to admire the newly opened bike/hike trail to New Castle. Along the way we will take a look at the historic architecture in Wilmington.  This hike will be 9 miles.  Bring lunch and water.  Also bring 80 cents (exact change) to take the bus part of the way back.

From the intersection of DE-141 (Centre Rd) & DE-52 (Kennett Pike). Take DE-52 (Kennett Pike) south for 2.2 mi. Turn left onto N Franklin St & proceed 0.3 mi. Turn right onto Lovering Ave & proceed 0.1 mi. Turn left onto N Van Buren St (street sign is missing) & proceed 0.2 mi. Drive over the bridge. Turn left onto N Park Dr & proceed 0.1 mi. The parking lot will be on the left under a I-95 bridge.

Wilmington State Parks are home to “Brandywine Park”, the Brandywine Zoo, Baynard Stadium, Josephine Fountain & Jasper Crane Rose Garden.

The Jasper Crane Rose Garden is North of North Van Buren Street. Parking under I-95  is 0.1 mile north of North Van Buren Street

on North Park Drive.
