Meet at P-5 at 1:00 p.m. for a 6-mile hike in the area between Appleton and Gallaher roads, with views of Big Elk Creek. The trail will be easy-to-moderate with a couple of hills. Bring water and a snack.  A $5 parking fee is in effect unless you have a MD Parks pass. NOTE: This may be hunting season.  We have never encountered hunters, but wear orange if you have any. I have spare vests to lend.

WRITTEN DIRECTIONS:
From the DE/MD state line, take MD-273 west for 1.4 mi. At the traffic circle, take the 3rd exit onto Appleton Rd south & proceed 0.8 mi. The lot will be on your right.
