Arrive ready to leave at 9:30 a.m. for a guided 3-5 mile hike mostly on paved trails around Country House and the Museum of Natural History. The WTC has been invited to participate with the residents of Country House in celebrating Active Aging Week. We will walk to the Museum of Natural History, where snacks of trail mix will be provided. Come up the drive way to Country House and park in the first lot on the left. DRIVING DIRECTIONS: From North via I-95: Take I-95 to Exit 7B (Route 52and Delaware Avenue). Travel 4.2 miles, past the Greenville Center on the right, and through the intersection of Kirk Rd. There’s a traffic light at Kirk Rd. Country House will be at the next traffic light, 0.5 miles from the Kirk Rd. light, on your left. From North via 202: Take 202 South to the intersection with Rt.1. Turn right onto Rt. 1 South. Continue on Rt. 1 past Chadds Ford, to Rt. 52 South. This will be a left-hand turn(across traffic) just past Hamorton Woods, which is on the left. Proceed on Rt. 52 South for 5.5 miles and the Country House will be on your right. It’s 0.6 miles from the light at Winterthur to the traffic light at the Country House entrance. The Country House is just past the Delaware Museum of Natural History. From South via I-95: Take I-95 North to Exit 7 (Rt. 52 and Delaware Avenue). Make a left turn and take the left fork onto Rt. 52 North. Travel 4.2 miles, past the Greenville Center on the right, and through the intersection with Kirk Rd. There’s a traffic light at Kirk Rd. Country House will be on your left, at the next traffic light, 0.5 miles north of the light at Kirk Rd.
