Chandler Mill Nature Preserve, Avondale, Pa

 We are asked to carpool to the trail head. Arrive ready to leave from the New Garden Shopping Center on Scarlett Rd. in Kennett Square at 9:20 a.m. for the 10:00 a.m. hike at the Preserve. This will be a guided hike on the Preserve with a presentation on the newly completed interpretive nature center on this Land Conservancy for Chester County property at 541 Chandler Mill Road, Avondale, Pa 19311, which must be entered from Hillendale Road since the bridge is closed.It is advisable to wear long pants.

From PA Rt. 1:

Go south on Rt. 82, North Union St., to State St. in Kennett Square.  Turn right onto State St., going west to Scarlett Rd. at a traffic light. Turn left on Scarlett Rd. crossing Baltimore Pike, go past McDonalds then left into New Garden Shopping Center parking lot by Big Lots, 345 Scarlett Rd. New Garden.

From Delaware:

Take Rt. 7, which becomes Kaolin Rd., then Union St. in Kennett Square.  Turn left on State St., going west to Scarlett Rd. at a traffic light. Turn left on Scarlett Rd. crossing Baltimore Pike, go past McDonalds then left into New Garden Shopping Center parking lot by Big Lots, 345 ScarlettRd. New Garden.
