Meet for a 9:00 a.m. start from Peter’s Rock, aka Smithbridge parking area, along the lovely Brandywine River. We will hike north along the Brandywine Trail, then after lunch return via Mason Dixon Trail to swing by the peony farm, which should be looking Monetesque. Roughly 11 miles including stream crossings. Bring lunch, snacks, water. No parking fee.

Partial Closure of Smith Bridge Parking Lot.
Beginning November 29, 2021, First State National Historical Park will be restricting access to the Smith Bridge Parking Lot by closing the right side of the lot to allow for the landscape to recover and for maintenance.
This partial closer will remain in effect until March 1st, 2022.
