Brandywine and Alapocas Parks

This hike includes both Brandywine Park and Alapocas Woods. Poles are advised. Meet up is at the Jasper  Crane Rose Garden in Brandywine Park.  DRIVING DIRECTIONS: From I-95, either direction, at Delaware Ave. exit turn North on Rt. 52 and proceed about 1 to 2 blocks. At CVS turn right on N. Van Buren Street. Cross the Brandywine and immediately turn left at the Rose Garden. Turn left into parking lot beneath I-95 viaduct.

From the intersection of DE-141 (Centre Rd) & DE-52 (Kennett Pike). Take DE-52 (Kennett Pike) south for 2.2 mi. Turn left onto N Franklin St & proceed 0.3 mi. Turn right onto Lovering Ave & proceed 0.1 mi. Turn left onto N Van Buren St (street sign is missing) & proceed 0.2 mi. Drive over the bridge. Turn left onto N Park Dr & proceed 0.1 mi. The parking lot will be on the left under a I-95 bridge.

Wilmington State Parks are home to “Brandywine Park”, the Brandywine Zoo, Baynard Stadium, Josephine Fountain & Jasper Crane Rose Garden.

The Jasper Crane Rose Garden is North of North Van Buren Street. Parking under I-95  is 0.1 mile north of North Van Buren Street

on North Park Drive.
