Meet in the parking lot of the Visitors Center at 9:50 a.m. For carpooling, meet at
9:00 a.m. in BJ’s parking lot on Rt. 13 in New Castle –parking along fence facing the Farmers Market. Park near the Visitor Center. Fee is $4.00 per car, or if you have the Federal Lifetime Pass- free. You may pay inside or use the envelope system outside. Bathrooms are available on site. Bring bug spray, binoculars, maybe even your favorite bird ID book, and some money for a nice gift shop. Lunch after at Sambo’s Tavern in Leipsic – a very short distance south on Rt. 9…a Delaware Treasure.

WRITTEN DIRECTIONS:
From the intersection of DE-13 where it joins DE-1 South (toll road) to first Smyrna exit 114A. Or to avoid toll, exit DE-1 from the Roth Bridge onto DE-13 South. Follow DE-13 South through Smyrna passing DE-6. After passing a cemetery on left, make a left turn at the light onto Leipsic-Smyrna Rd. Follow this road which eventually merges with DE-9 South. Shortly after the merge, look for a brown sign for Bombay Hook on right and Whitehall Rd on the left. Turn left and travel 2.2 mi to the entrance to the Refuge.
