DESCRIPTION: (Wear appropriate clothing & bring water! Below are some special instructions: what to bring, relative difficulties, interesting features, & carpooling directions.)
RSVP to ride leader REQUIRED (limit of 10 participants including ride leader)*
This ride will follow the WTC Covid 19 Guidelines.
This flat 12 mile ride on a paved road winds through the refuge and around several ponds. We can increase the distance by riding one or more of the loops twice. There are views of wetlands, ponds, and woods plus the chance to see migratory birds such as osprey, geese, swans, herons, and ducks on their fall migration. Park at the Nature Center parking area on the left on Refuge Entrance Rd. Leader: Suzanne Souder,
NOTE: The Nature Center is closed due to the pandemic and the entrance fee is waived. The restrooms are also closed although porta potties are nearby. A picnic pavilion near the Nature Center with multiple tables will allow us to enjoy a socially distanced picnic after the ride so bring a lunch.
*RSVP’s will only be taken NO MORE THAN 6 days prior to the event. If a conflict arises to prevent you from riding after you have RSVP’d, contact Suzanne to cancel so another rider can attend.
