This hike involves rarely known conserved areas that the club never uses. They are near the Middle Branch of the White Clay Creek about 5 miles north of the White Clay Creek State Preserve. Expect hills, field trails, dirt roads, woods trails, and a couple of small wet crossings. There’s about 10% pavement necessary on usually quiet Landenberg roads to get between sections. Bring water & snack. [This event is starting from a different location than the October hikes met at! See new location below.]

WRITTEN DIRECTIONS:
From the intersection of DE-41 (Lancaster Pike) & Valley Rd (Hockessin). Proceed north on DE-41 (Lancaster Pike) for 2.3 mi (becomes PA-41). Turn left onto Sunny Dell Rd & proceed 1.0 mi. Turn left onto Newark Rd & proceed 0.5 mi. Turn right onto Landenberg Rd & proceed 1.2 mi (to Landenberg Store intersection). Turn right onto Penn Green Rd & proceed 413 ft. Turn left onto Chesterville Rd & proceed 0.9 mi. Turn right to stay on Chesterville Rd & proceed 0.9 mi. Turn left to stay on Chesterville Rd & proceed 0.2 mi. Small parking lot on right. Park compactly.
