This is a long day, but a good day; 17.6 mile hike will take us from the park along the Pennsylvania-Maryland border south to I-70. The trail is hilly and rocky. Total time, including driving, hiking and shuttles will be around 14 hours. Driving distance 130 miles + shuttle. Bring lunch, snacks and lots of water. Meet at DelDot Park and Ride at Rts. 4 & 896 across Rt. 4 from UD stadium for a 7:00 a.m. departure (arrive early for carpooling). Optional dinner stop (definitely ice cream!) on the way home.
