Annual Hiking HIKING -- for 15 miles on 11/04/2023 @ 8:00am-4:00pm -- The 28th Annual Hike Across Delaware Saturday, November 4, 2023. Registration for the 2023 Hike Across Delaware is closed. We have reached the event capacity of 180. Thank you for your interest in the Hike Across Delaware. If you did not register for the event online and are looking to register on-site, please be advised that having reached event capacity, we will not be able to accommodate on-site registrations. Our next Hike Across Delaware is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, November 2, 2024. Online registration will open on Sunday, September 1, 2024. HIKING Saturday Long Hiking -- for 7 or 14 miles on 11/04/2023 @ 8:15am-3:00pm -- Carpools depart from Brandywine Town Center Park and Ride at 8:20 am, or meet at the Ridley Creek mansion parking lot by 9 am. Contact leader if meeting at RCSP. Two loops; lunch at cars so can leave after morning loop, or join the group at noon for shorter afternoon loop. Expect hills, rocks, roots; part of afternoon loop will be in full sun. Bring water, lunch, snacks, insect, and sun protection.
PADDLING Whitewater Paddling -- for miles on 11/04/2023 @ 9:00am-4:00pm -- This is the Tohickon release weekend. This is a Class 3 run, see https://www.americanwhitewater.org/content/River/view/river-detail/1672/main need cold weather gear and ability to roll. Not fun to swim in November! we usually make 2 runs with a short break for lunch. meet at Ralph Stover state Park at 9, ready to shuttle 9:30. Bring $20 for parking.
