HIKING Sunday Hiking -- for 6 - 7 miles on 10/29/2023 @ 9:00am-12:00pm -- Enjoy a beautiful fall hike in this Chester County park with a long history. Expect some wide trails with a scenic stream, historic ruins, hills, fields and a really beautiful section along the Octoraro Creek. Be prepared for rocks and roots in sections. Bring water. Poles optional. The parking lot is small so carpooling is strongly suggested.
PADDLING Touring Paddling -- for miles on 10/29/2023 @ 9:30am-3:00pm -- Please meet at the Perryville Community Park kayak launch; be ready to launch at 10 am. This will be a great time to see the Fall colors and bald eagles on Furnace Bay and Principio Creek. As high tide is at 10:50 am, we may be able to paddle further up Principio Creek. Bring snacks and water. Lunch will be at the launch ramp as high tide erases many of the beaches. Please email the leader to attend and include your cell number. Also, please review the newest Covid-19 policy: WTC Pandemic Safety – Wilmington Trail Club. There is no shuttle.
