WTC WTC Volunteer Opportunities (Recurring) -- for miles on 06/01/2023 @ 9:00am - 11:00am -- This project’s objective is to increase plant diversity and help preserve the native plants by removing non-native invasive plants. Wear long sleeves and pants, work gloves. Bring tools such as loppers, hand saws, pruners, shovels. All help is welcome and there is work for all levels: from pulling easy to remove honeysuckle vines, to sawing down linden viburnum. The walk to the worksite varies between 0.25 to 1.0 mile. HIKING Thursday Hiking -- for 4 - 5 miles on 06/01/2023 @ 9:00am - 12:00pm -- Please meet at the water fountain in Josephine Gardens. We will hike in Brandywine and Alapocas Run parks and see some lesser-known city attractions – mainly the Sugar Bowl concert pavilion. Hike is on pavement so comfortable walking shoes or sneakers are okay. There will be a few short steep hills and a long-ish set of steps. Please note earlier start time!
