WTC WTC Volunteer Opportunities (Recurring) -- for miles on 05/25/2023 @ 9:00am - 11:00am -- This project’s objective is to increase plant diversity and help preserve the native plants by removing non-native invasive plants. Wear long sleeves and pants, work gloves. Bring tools such as loppers, hand saws, pruners, shovels. All help is welcome and there is work for all levels: from pulling easy to remove honeysuckle vines, to sawing down linden viburnum. The walk to the worksite varies between 0.25 to 1.0 mile. HIKING Thursday Hiking -- for 5 miles on 05/25/2023 @ 10:00am - 12:30pm -- This hike along White Clay Creek and up through 2 beautiful pine forests, will include a visit to the Arc Corner Monument and a Great Blue Heron nest. This is a fairly easy and level hike with a couple of gradual hills. Since some roots and mud in places is anticipated, trekking poles are advised. The Chambers Rock parking lot has 20 to 25 parking spaces, so car pooling is encouraged.
